It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

      Further.
      Scraping the bottom, I'd say.

Well the CotW webpage is such a joke we might as well chip in with a few more!

Perhaps COTW needs a spanking new web page?
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I am not a number, I am a free man.

            That's enough backsided compliments, now!

Cracking on with the topic, weren't the last two madrigals lovely? So many recordings of the masses and motets are available from excellent OVPP groups, BUT, I just long for a choral sound occasionally, and we got it, ironically, with those two madrigals and Ensemble Alsfelder.

Let us know if you hear from them. I didn’t.
I haven't had a reply yet, but the playlist magically appeared within an hour of my complaint.

Just another plug for the FoR3 survey. Online material is one of the topics covered in 'Presentation' - the contribution Radio 3 makes to music programmes that enhance or detract from listener appreciation.

This reply to my email about the CotW playlist arrived yesterday:

Thank you for your message. I'm sorry you weren't able to find the information you were looking for.

Our playlist information is automatically published to the Radio 3 website at the start of each programme's broadcast. A playlist for Composer of the Week on 14th January would have been generated, therefore, at 12.00pm.

However, because Composer of the Week is repeated in the afternoon, our system automatically re-generates the playlist information at the start of the second transmission. This process requires the original playlist to be removed for short period (perhaps an hour) prior to the start of the evening edition.

I suspect you may have been trying to view the playlist during this period. Once the playlist has been generated for the second broadcast, the information should remain online permanently. You can find details of Wednesday's programme here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04xrtgh

I hope this information is useful.

Well, presumably Donald isn't pulling CDs randomly out of his bag (and the programme isn't 'live' anyway) so why can't they publish the week's playlist in adavance?

Thank you, ardcarp. It is exactly what I expected. Purely technical. Playlist to the BBC website people is not what we think as a ‘programme’ that offers information in advance. The absurd thing is, it is all published on Radio Times, as mercia and ff have shown us. So why on earth can’t they publish that on the website?

                    I hate this bit
                    …would have been generated …..
That besides, I have very much enjoyed this Composer of the Week. A new (to me) side of Lassus and many ensembles to explore.
