Really - what IS the point of so many names? It's not impressive, it's just a list - one of the most boring and unimaginative things to do with words.

    Worsnip Muffnutts Caruthers. THAT'S impressive!

Paterson was apparently plain ... Jennifer Mary.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

I always wondered what your real name is, visualnick.

Perhaps CDW had a lot of relatives her parents wanted to please, in the hope they would leave her all their money. A bit like Cinderella's parents inviting all the fairies to her christening so they could bestow all the virtues & graces on her - unfortunately they forgot one.

I think she was the real cook in the pair. Cooks (unlike chefs) traditionally have plain names.

Act of God? Simply God, surely. Just look at the way Johnny & the various boys (rarely a girl) stood in awe of her & trembled at her every word.
