Not a group of people you would want to cross, and also, unhappily responsible for getting this deal to be more or less given the olympic stadium.
West Ham will be the Olympic Stadium tenants after the government increases its funding by £25m to about £60m.

The deal is £15m up front, £2m a year rent, conversion costs (of approx £200 million) to a football stadium at public expense. There were other bidders, notably Tottenham,a bigger and wealthier club, but a highly lucrative deal was given to WHU . Interesting that Brady is a staunch Conservative supporter.
(by which I mean supporter of the present government, no party political point intended).
I can see that there's not a touch of bitterness there ts.
All's unfair in football, politics and financial circles.

Perhaps more than can be said for his behaviour as a husband ... he never sued his former PA Rebecca Loos for her revelations about their (alleged) affair. I assume the legal advice he received not to litigate for such damaging revelations must have been for a very good reason.

Well true enough about fairness Cloughie, but WHU's good luck is their good luck.
How such an appalling deal for the public was reached, when there was competition for the use of the Stadium, is hard to fathom, and a completely different matter.

Good deal for the public purse or not? You decide.

Incidentally, it might be recalled that WHU were responsible for relegating Sheffield United more or less illegally in 2007, from which the Blades have never really recovered, despite a compensation deal being done. I'm sure you remember the events , Cloughie.

No bitterness from me, but then I 'm not a regular at Bramall Lane....
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I am not a number, I am a free man.

Didn't Man City have some similar luck in acquiring the City of Manchester stadium after the Commonwealth Games - they were so grateful that they later renamed it!

I remember the WHU Blades thing well but it all really went downhill when Captain Marvel replaced Colin.

The only one I've ever been to is Mont Blanc.

I'll hold myself back from making comments about firing blanks.

                      Ooops

Moving swiftly back to DB, he just seems so thoroughly nice compared with so many of his colleagues; & he does scrub up well (if you overlook his tattoos)
