    I agree, jean, BUT did you notice how almost NONE of the folksong originals were played and then shown in their 'gentrified ' form?
    Try Coope, Boyes and Simpson CDs to see what trad Christmas songs sounded like.

      Agreed entirely. I've now heard it all and thought it an ideal blend of scholarship, entertainment and illustration.
