When I saw the new thread on Alan Ferber, I was briefly confused with Albert Ferber (29 March 1911 – 11 January 1987) a Swiss pianist whose international performing career spanned four decades. I recall some of his recordings on those cheap LP's in the 1960's.

I have his Saga LP of selected Faure, Vol 2. Wish I could find Vol 1 somewhere! In fact, bought a 2nd copy of Vol 2 for a friend this summer. 10p it cost me too, but I didn't heed the expense
