      I'm not a professional or even amateur now although I played the piano when young. It's just the sort of awkward work [scoring], that one never, I hope forgets, like some overtures which have two versions. Those I can't remember.

        I'm too used to Stravinsky's Dumbarton Oaks to go back to Bach.

        I will still be listening to the show though. Sometimes you learn things.

            Well done Sara and Richard Egarr, I thought that a very interesting programme on 3 of the Brandenburgs and remember, another programme next week.I must look out my ancient LPs and my one CD of the set with Neville Marriner and the Academy of St-Martin-in the Fields. They put a 1min 28 second Adagio by George Malcolm in the middle of no 3.

              Not too happy about the "three living and three dead". Seems a totally invented/imported "explanation". "The jig as they dance up to Heaven"! Hmm.
