One among several in my direct experience. Mind you, the moaners then turn their ire from those applauding to those acknowledging such applause. Rather sad really. If only such moaners paid more attention to the musical performance, rather some passing trend of 'etiquette'.

Which reminds me of a French story I heard many years ago.

"Have you heard about the new toilet in the town centre that has a juke box?" asked the friend.
