    Too many - du Pre, Ferrier, Cantelii, Auger , Mewton-Wood ,Brain ,Katchen , Kapell- all come immediately to mind.

              This weekend, those cut down in or as a result of war spring to the front of the mind - George Butterworth, Jehan Alain, Ivor Gurney, Erwin Schulhoff, Pavel Haas...
