This looks well outside the usual remit of the OAE but, remembering the superb Rattle Rheingold at the 2004 Proms, I find myself intrigued. Anyone else got tickets for this?

Just booked for my annual visit to the East Neuk Festival. The Pavel Haas Quartet, a Mendelssohn cycle with the Calidore Quartet, Christian Zacharias playing Schumann, including the Piano Quintet with the Calidore. Also the SCO conducted by Zacharias in the "Tattie Barn". Based in the delightful little town of Crail, clustering around its historic harbour at the base of the cliffs.

Good thought....the same seat I had for the Rattle/ Hannigan concert last year might be good. Cheap, and a view of almost nothing except the back of the double basses .I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Despite RBs misgivings, I have booked up for the Dudamel Canyons at the Barbican.
And, a neat trick, I bought a ticket for TS Jnr#3 for £5 as a Barbican Junior Member ,which was free to join, and also didn't have to pay a booking fee as I booked both tickets in her account.:
I Wonder if she actually wants to go ?
£20 for both tix.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
