After all, any money I've got saved in the bank is decreasing in value by about 10% at present, and earning pitiful interest, so why not spend €50 of it on a good night out?
My sort of reasoning. Have a lovely holiday whatever you decide.

I've been there. The view is indeed stunning. I'd snap up a ticket/tickets ASAP - 50€ might seem a lot but in these post-lockdown/inflationary days it doesn't seem too bad. I'm envious - the idea of a summer evening in Ravello listening to Vilde Frang while I'm sitting here in bloody freezing Scotland seems almost like a fantasy.

          Nice.
Might be worth ordering and paying for your interval drinks now, as prices are bound to rise by September.

Nicely constructed programme. Fine pianist, indeed.

Angela Hewitt at the University of York.

                          Pretty refined fare .
Didn’t Schnabel once say that “piano recitals , like a visit to Paris , start at Notre Dame but always end in a night club. “. Maybe she’ll do a Gershwin encore …but I doubt it.

And all in the minor (depending on the selections from the 48).
A little odd perhaps to play only one movement of the Barber, but it's a mighty movement and should be fun to hear/watch being performed.

Especially if they hand out red roses because it's Valentine's Day.
