I've just remembered that there's a CD of two string quartets and an oboe quartet by Graham Whettam, played by the Carducci Quartet. Perhaps a movement from one of those for the list, anton?

Similar good wishes to Lady G - I hope that was an excellent breakfast
Sorry ff,to be fair, I did promise errors and I shall amend with the additions - I pondered Field, Harty and others.
I think I probably missed the delete button when I was so shocked by Mehdi and UKIP agreeing all the time on Question Time!!

          Great work Anton,many thanks.
I've banged my head against the wall many times over the years listening to most of those lesser pieces.

Morgan Nicholas (better known for his hymn tunes) composed 2 very nice pieces for oboe and piano - Rhapsody and Melody. They are short enough to fit into Breakfast's scheduling.

Well done again BBM - Ams if we are to submit a list to whoever it can only come from one man who, obviously, has direct access to RWland.

Well, in the 2005 British Music Focus series that's been mentioned in this thread, R3 certainly showed itself well willing to stick its neck out with substantial rarities such as the Brian Gothic, Maw's Odyssey, Tippett's The Mask of Time, two Simpson symphonies and the complete incidental music to The Wasps, so let's hope that such courageous enterprise might come around again!

I am probably terribly wrong, but I feel you may well have a minor, indirect, role in this ER.
