Yes, of course it would be nice for it to be aired again, although I have to admit that don't see that as likely. The programme was introduced and presented by Andrew McGregor, with all his usual brilliance.
Wonderful to get a chance to hear some of your music at long last, AH, courtesy ferney's bringing this to our attention - for which many thanks!

I've just tried to send you a PM but it was rejected on account of your mailbox apparently being full and the need for some space to be made there!...

Looking at the new Radio Times, there's a very good start to the British Music months: plenty of Britten (Peter Grimes, Phaedra, Diversions for Pno&Orch, Paul Bunyan, the Third 'cello Suite, The Poet's Echo, Rejoice in the Lamb, the Piano Concerto, the 'cello Sonata, Songs & Proverbs of William Blake, Tit for Tat, On This Island, Lachrymae, Winter Words, A Charm of Lullabies, Simple Symphony, An American Overture, Sinfonia da Requiem, Spring Symphony, An American Overture, Ballad of Heroes Serenade for Tenor, Horn & Strings plus reconstructions/performing versions by Colin Matthews.

AND, symphonies by Wesley, Grace Willams, Tippett, Elgar, Arnold and McCabe and orchestral works by Panufnik, Delius, Bridge and Handel; Spem in allium, RVW as CotW and Walton sprinkled throughout the other schedules.

So; who's going to be first to point out the disgraceful neglect of Constant Lambert?

Pity it doesn't get a little promotional push price wise..I'm sure the folks on the board would help sales !!

Got to love the first review on amazon.
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Nice one, but what's wrong with good British garlic, especially that grown on IOW?(!)...

What works of Lambert would you recommend ferney? Last time round Mr. Heffer played, was it, Prize Fight? - I was far from impressed.

Do you know if it's to be Grace Williams 2nd symphony?

I'm not a fan of Lambert's work, but for some reason his was the first name that popped into my head as someone whose absence might be regarded by some as an excuse for a moan. I'd've added a Mathias symphony or three to the mix - but perhaps he'll turn up (with Daniel Jones) in a later week.

Do you know if it's to be Grace Williams 2nd symphony?
It is: BBCNOW conducted by Owain Arwel Hughes; Tuesday afternoon, c3:30.
