    Has Roehre left the building?

If so, when did that happen? And do we know why?

He is still Full Member (i.e. has not become Guest), so he is still in the building. I expect he is occupied with other things. If you post an inquiry on some obscure Renaissance, or even better medieval composers, you might tear him away from his present engagement.

[ed] I hope his absence is not due to health or other personal matters.

I see no sign on his website that anything is amiss: he may be starting a busy time of year.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

I, too, miss his informative and entertaining posts and hope that his absence is caused by his being involved in things he prefers doing to posting here (as opposed to health or other shitty problems). I hope he returns soon, and send him my very best wishes.

                            always enjoyed TVS's occasional posts.
And good news that Roehre is apparently OK.

Practically no one on this board is more knowledgeable about classical music right across the historical continuum than Roehr, so it's good that he's OK.

Thuird Viennese School is probably on his beer festival rounds...
