Not much point in playing numbers really, but the total is skewed by the high level of BB this year, naturally enough.
Rubbra's symphonies are amongst the last to ingratiate themselves to the listener, so are less 'bums on seats' than many of his contemporaries' symphonies. We can live in hope for a cycle.
There's also a curiously high level of Tippett this year, despite no obvious anniversary. That does, IMHO, provide a convenient opportunity to discern how different BB and MT actually are - they have tended to be lumped together.
