Music coming up on television.

I don't think there is a specific thread on this anywhere else. In general, I just can't be bothered trawling the TV guides, and music (and footy) are about all I watch on telly. Thought it might be handy (for me!) to have a thread where any upcoming TV music programmes could be flagged up.
If its a bad idea, well, I can deal with it !!

Anyway, tonight, Friday April 5th 7.30PM Elgar documentary. BBC 4.

it was so good that seeing it for the first time was like seeing it for the first time...or something !!
Anyhow, very enjoyable way to spend 90 mins. always easy to pick holes, and odd that the Cello Concerto didn't seem to get a mention (unless I popped out for refreshments at that moment!), but well worth watching anyway, not least for the discussion of "Owls", certainly new to me.
Haven't heard many Elgar songs, but always like the ones I have heard , like Snow.

Odd indeed; one could mention too the string quartet and the violin sonatas - though the programme was already accented rather towards the lugubrious side of Elgar; the Introduction & Allegro, displaying his more ebullient side, also didn't get any mention.

Me too. Caught a few snippets last night but will be watching the whole caboodle later on. What I saw looked very interesting and it was good to see some video excerpts from Covent Garden's latest production, which I was lucky enough to see live.

I might watch this and follow it with Eurovision.....talk about going from the sublime to the ridiculous....
