    Yes, she saw so much suffering and violence in her life, her parents seemed to an outsider like myself to behave in a non-parental fashion, then instead of a few more recitals and a peaceful end in the future....
    to end with a violent death.

      I remember her in the mid-1960s playing with the CBSO in Birmingham Town Hall and looking very like that photo in the Guardian obituary. It was a Mozart concerto, probably no. 24, and it first opened my ears to the Mozart PCs. RIP.
