It is the the CCE, AFAICS, recorded NY city 1973.

It actually just seems to name the players and not the ensemble,actually.

The LSO definitely play the other two works, recorded in Walthamstow,

What that CD does have by the look of it is a really good booklet, so I settle down with that later, after planting some roses and coughing a bit, and have a read and a listen.

Yes, it crossed my mind that it might be that the LSO is the headliner. But I believe AC conducted the LSO in a recording of this.

I don’t think this is the recording that won the BaL. This one seems to be the LSO. The BaL winner was the Columbia Chamber ensemble.

I just bought this. (Though not for that price!) It was mainly for the Babbitt Correspondences, as enthused about elsewhere, but I'm looking forward to hearing the Carter Concerto for Orchestra, which I don't know, and the Cage Atlas Eclipticalis, which I do although it can sound radically different from one performance to another. I don't know anything about Gunther Schuller's compositional work although his books on jazz are excellent. Does anyone know this CD?

You might be disappointed then: it's the Variations for orchestra on that CD!
