No, nothing to do with Donald Rumsfeld. I was listening to Essential Classics this morning and Sarah Walker played Prokofiev's Classical Symphony. If anyone had asked me If I'd heard it before I would probably have said 'no', but the opening was instantly familiar, so I must have heard it, & probably more than once.

Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it.

The Dear Leader and his team better not find out that FoR3 members don't recognise the regular overplayed warhorses or they'll use it as an excuse to play them even more until we' can name that tune in one'.
They seem to be in a real hurry to play as many warhorses as they can this year. The year is only 10 and a half days only and 2/3rds of entries in my 'warhorse list' have been filled already, some more than once!Last edited by Suffolkcoastal; 11-01-13, 17:21.

Not necessarily (and isn't this one of the central ideas of Lohengrin?) - many of us will have experienced the sensation of following a piece, knowing exactly what's coming next, but totally unable to recollect the title or composer.Numquam Satis!
