Some forum members may be interested in the story of Ignatz Waghalter, as told by his grandson David Green, interviewed by Libby Purves in midweek tonight. Green found his grandfather's scores in the attic of the house which his mother had sold 17 years previously. An interesting story about a Polish-born composer who left Germany for the US in 1923. This missing music has now been recorded by the Royal Philharmonic and violinist Irmina Trynkos. Waghalter's complete violin repertoire is released on Naxos Records.
