    Britten tribute at Kings Place

This looks mightily interesting and features some of my favourite performers.
A tribute to Britten in 2013, but to Britten as a collaborator and accompanist, by two accompanists of the younger generation Andrew Matthews-Owen and John Reid.
I like that the programme is a mix of music by Britten but also those whom he admired, worked alongside with and influences today.
A good angle of programming by these 2 pianists in a year where we will be awash with music by the great man:

Kings Place is a hub for music, art, dialogue and food in London’s Kings Cross. Come and experience two world-class concert halls, galleries, a bar/café, waterside restaurant and award winning conference and events facilities - all under one roof.

Very tempting & varied programmes at a venue which has become much more accessible of late with the arrival of some new roads in the whirligig that is the rejuvenated King's Cross.

Many thanks for the alert Rosie55

Just enjoyed three days of Britten celebrations at Kings Place. Head rather buzzing after all that was offered. Did anyone else manage to get to any? I have also just ordered the Kildea book...
