Back in the orchestral hire library where i was for about five years when very young. Wonderful colleagues, many of whom are still my friends, all the librarians and conductors of those days coming in.
Five pounds a week, long hours, but much more interesting than the publishing etc that came later. Oh I'd have to be eighteen again to do it .

Principal Conductor of the Manchester Camerata.
12 years ago I was shortlisted for it but Douglas Boyd
got the job!
