    Craig Armstrong

Craig Armstrong is best known for his film scores, including
    William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet
    Moulin Rouge
    The Quiet American
    World Trade Center
    Elizabeth: The Golden Age
    Love Actually
    The Incredible Hulk

However, he has a fair number of concert works to be proud of:
    Slow Movement for strings
    20 Movements for orchestra
    One Minute
    Immer
    When Morning Turns to Light

For anyone wanting to dabble, this might be a good place to start.

What IS it with all these Armstrong threads?!

You got a bee in the bonnet, Alpie?

Mangerton will have something to say about it!

    Invictus maneo....
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Of course not, but there are so many composers who are ignored simply because they are not in th musical premier league.

Thanks Eine. A very good film composer whose atmospheric music has accompanied memorable moments in cinema. I very much liked 'Finding Beauty' from 'Saving Private Ryan' and all of the 'Moulin Rouge' score, along with pieces like 'Weather Storm' -

I didn't realise that he had also written concert works and will certainly have a listen to them.
