Bernstein conducting Nielsen's 3rd Symphony in Copenhagen, on the occasion of his being awarded the Sonning Prize. The next day they recorded it for CBS but this live performance seems to have much more fire.
(The first half of the concert consisted of Johann Hye-Knudsen conducting the Helios Overture and the Violin Concerto, soloist Tibor Varga. I wish I could find that).
If there is another thread for youtube discoveries this should perhaps be there rather than here, but to me Nielsen has sounded like "new music" ever since I discovered him 50 years ago.

I haven't had a chance to play the whole thing through yet but the opening is extraordinary and many thanks for posting it.

What a marvellous piece this is.
Dedicated to Sir Arthur Bliss, who said
You have given me a splendid work, so varied and inventive......I am sure that no critic, who did not have the good fortune that I had, to follow its progress in the full score, could rightly judge your achievement. It is a big work, and full of fascinating detail...You were aware, I am sure, of the impact that this work made, as you conducted it.........splendid command of orchestral possibilities.......I wish I had thought of this
