This popped up in my YouTube feed yesterday - Bruckner's 4th Symphony, Scherzo, in an arrangement for Organ duo.

I found this both thrilling and a very impressive performance. Hearing it in this form made me appreciate just how many notes there are in this score, and the textures are so beautifully interwoven, and synchronised . The organ playing is fantastic, the two players have to work as one, avoiding each other's hands. This was recorded in Wurzburg. I would like to hear more Bruckner from these players.

And if you fancy hearing another performance of the work from abroad, here it is from Madrid played by the Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra conducted by Andrew Gourlay. There was a time when they used to say English music doesn't travel too well but YouTube is revealing some interesting 'foreign' performances and this one is nicely played too ...
