Discovering Pfitzner

I'd like to suggest to listen to the string quartet in c-sharp minor op.36 and the symphony in the same key op.36a within a short period of time, preferably immediately following each other.

Will do, Roehre. I like the op 36a symphony more than I can say.

Alfred Hill, who was at the conservatorium in Leipzig around the same time that Pfitzner was at the Hoch in Frankfurt, developed several of his quartets into symphonies in Sydney. Only now being re-discovered.
