After Napster melded into Rhapsody (or vice-versa) recently, I have been revisiting it. The sound quality is acceptable/good, even though it may only be at 192 kbps AAC. Not only that, but they seem to have a very good range of recordings.
I've been listening to Brahms' Requiem via Spotify quite a bit recently, but I thought I'd check out Napster as well. There are many very good versions on Napster, some more or less brand new - e.g Paavo Jarvi, and some, well, vintage performances - Toscanini, Kempe, Walter, Celibidache plus the Klemperer one with the rehearsal excerpt with Hermann Prey.
I'm not related to anyone at Spotify or Napster, but it seems to me that for £5/month one could do a lot worse than take out a Napster subscription.
