The brochure for this has just been published and wading through the hideous graphics the serious music seems to be largely confined to the Proms which are already being discussed elsewhere. But I wonder what others make of this? (link here: http://festival.london2012.com/)
Incidentally, one horror stood out from a quick read:
"Coventry cathedral opened in 1952 with the commissioned War Requiem by Benjamin
choral work, so there are high expectations for MacMillan's choral work".
1952, eh? I know it's only a typo, but didn't anybody proof-read this thing?
