There was a discussion a bit back, and I don’t remember exactly where in the Forum, on the demise of the on line site Norpete, based in Vermont, USA. To recall the site specialized in live recordings, and the most desirable items were apparently from a marketing arrangement they had with a French Canadian Mastering Engineer named Yves St. Laurent. He appears to have his own site. My first attempt at ordering from him was unsuccessful, but a few weeks later I was included in an email blast from him advertising a sale. One is required to use PayPal, which is a turn off. At any rate as a test I ordered a live recording of Karajan/BPO of Mahler 4, with Edith Mathis. It arrived a few days ago. It was recorded in Berlin 1980 and sounds excellent. It has been a while since I listened to the studio recording so I can’t make any comparisons at this point but it’s good to see that these recordings are available again
