This is the sort of piano which would be good for contrapuntal music. Not just because of the superb bass response but also because it seems to enable particularly clear voicing. There’s a recording of Art of Fugue on a 1926 piano by J L Dyson, the piano player is Ron Lepinat - it reminds me of that a bit.
