I was intrigued by the title of a CD in a catalogue recently. This was given as Multitonal Madrigals.

I can only remember hearing one thing by Rossi, a toccata which Andrea Marcon plays. I'm going to have to explore his music some more now. I see that Vartolo has made a CD.

The arciorgano (Grove: See arcicembalo) seems an elusive instrument. I'm not sure whether this is suggesting that it was invented as opening up the possibilities of microtonal composition, or just as a form of adjustment to tuning?
