I've long admired the art of Earl Wild, probably America's best home-grown piano virtuoso and in this year of Liszt anniversary celebrations I've been listening to quite a lot of Wild's Liszt recordings.
His website contains some intersting clips and lots of reviews of his concerts http://www.earlwild.com/
There is also news of the posthumous publication of his 900-page autobiography A Walk On The Wild Side @ $45, including a CD of Wild's playing. However would-be readers in UK need to be aware that the book weighs 7lbs and costs $45 in airmail postage plus whatever duties the British authorities choose to levy
If anyone gets their paws on this & manages to read it, I'd be grateful for a review. Similarly, details of reviews of it that you've spotted would be wonderful
