Cross rhythms and other rhythm styles

I just noticed that Wikipedia has entries for some aspects of Rhythm - such as this one https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross-beat.

However the embedded music examples don't load up easily - not on my machine at least. It seems that some of the examples are in a form of XML (MusicXML) so instead of loading these up using a Default - which in my case seemed to be OpenOffice (why?) it makes sense to load the examples using a tool which understands this form of XML. In this case MuseScore works well - though I expect that similar results may happen with Sibelius and Dorico etc.

So if you look at Wikipedia to try to figure out some rhythmic feature, try loading any of the examples in the pages you find into MuseScore - or the other tools mentioned above.

Once the examples are in MusesScore it's easy to edit and/or listen to them. To listen, just press the space bar.
