    Musescore.com

I've mentioned the Musescore program, which is a free music notation program, before.

Now I'm noticing that there's what appears to be a vibrant community at the website musescore.com - https://musescore.com, with particpants uploading versions of well known works, and also producing and effectively publishing their own music. There are discussions too, some of which are interesting.

An interesting site to explore, though the structure is not always clear.

Some examples - Fantasy on themes from Norma - https://musescore.com/steven_wan/gra...ra-norma-op-20

Share, download and print free sheet music with the world's largest community of sheet music creators, composers, performers, music teachers, students, beginners, artists, and other musicians with over 1,500,000 digital sheet music to play, practice, learn and enjoy.

There are discussions and new pieces coming along most days - and some are good.

Some of the (I presume) young composers are very good, though there are some older ones too.

A lot of my music is now on Musescore, though I rarely get any comments and not many even take the trouble to look or listen, so getting rather disillusioned with it all now. The site does seem to be a haven for arrangers, I'd rather compose orginal music that make yet another arrangement of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah or something from Frozen as a lot of the contributers seem to do.

I agree, but there are some really good people in there - IMO. The site is quite badly organised - again IMO - but the better people are worth checking out. The problem, perhaps, is identifying who’s who.
