Has anyone ventured out yet?
Scottish Opera has been putting on short (30 minute) presentations of potted pop-up opera. Not large scale, but quite fun nevertheless and it was actually sunny this afternoon so we went and sat on stools within "hula hoops" for social distancing for about 30 minutes to listen/watch a very cut down version of the Gondoliers in a car park behind Eden Court in Inverness.
Tomorrow they'll put on Don Giovanni.
These are of course nothing like the originals, but hearing live performances, even cut down and re-arranged is in many ways a lot better than listening/watching a 5 star performance on CD or Blu Ray.
Would have been a lot less fun if it had been raining - which it often does.
