    There's only one George Michael

'Praying for Time' recorded live at the Albert Hall 29.10.2011 on the Symphonica Tour

Recorded live on the Symphonica Tour at the Royal Albert Hall, London, on 29.10.2011.

Sorry about the ads on the YT link.

One can only speculate about how that voice might have developed if it had survived

A real guilty pleasure this one.
Zero street cred , cultural appropriation probably, but after a few beers in the Uni bar, this one always had everybody on their feet and doing something daft. Not that this is difficult in Uni bars....

( Plus I had a very flimsy connection to one of the band.....)

I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I am not a number, I am a free man.

Did anyone watch the National Theatre streaming of One Man Two Governors ? There was a very talented rock band (dressed for the 1960s) starting the show off and playing between scenes.

Part of our programme during the summer of 62 - and if my recollection is correct we nailed that particular version to a T.

My own guilty pleasure was another number in that programme - three of us lads sang the words.

It is very much a pub singalong down here - often tagged on to Sloop John B - up to 7 parts a cappella at MVC post concert afterglows!

I've never felt guilty about listening to Wagner - but I do feel acutely uncomforable with Siegfried in Act I of Siegfried: about as close as I get to Wagner-guilt. (Dunno about the other two, though. )

I feel much the same about Lee Marvin, Cbee.

I like the way he handled ‘standards’ on ’Songs of the last century’.

Quo had to turn up sooner or later. Not that I really feel guilty about them, they made some great Rock n Roll records, but somehow some other people manage to make me feel guilty !!

Lots to choose from, but this is probably the one, if it could only be one.

Yes, thought they were very good, even the washboard man (shades of skiffle). Also enjoyed the trio from the three female leads.
