    Box sets : bonus DVDs

If you lot are anything like me, ( unlikely but who knows ? ) you'll have loads of DVDs lurking at the back of CD box sets, that you have never watched.

I'd suggest it's now or never for dusting them off, having a watch with a nice glass of something ( still plenty in the shops last I looked) , and reviewing them on here.

    Good plan ?
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Such DVDs tend to be the first out of the box and into the player, here. Though some have the audio restricted to lossy AC-3 or DTS, a good many use LPCM at 48/15.

Oh well, at least one part of my post was correct.........

O.k. Dolby Digital or DTS (usually listed towards the bottom of the back of a DVD case) and LPCM at 48/16 = uncompressed digital audio of a very slightly higher sample rate than a CD.

          Thanks Bryn.

A whole cupboard of jazz dvds beckons. Wondering if this time Paul Gonsalves won’t wake up to play his solo ;)

It’s a good time to dust over CDs and DVDs that have not been played for a long time and to sort things out!
