So it might be possible to do just a very little good. Not great, but maybe a tad better than nothing.
In effect that's what I do. Apart from the Greens the choice was LibDem with a candidate parachuted in about whom no useful information was given, or UKIP(popular in my part of the world thanks to two industrious members, one of whom is an MEP, who get themselves about and also write in the local rag), so Greens it was although the candidate was not someone I particularly rated, but she had the merit of being local and so more of a known quantity.
I take the view that although my vote may not count in the scheme of things it is at least recorded as not supporting the two party status quo.

I do sometimes check which of the minority candidates (or parties) lost a deposit on a previous vote, and all other things being equal, try to nudge that one over the line. In some areas that may even be the Labour candidate!

Thing is, if we actually were to leave, what would Farage actually do with his time ?

Perhaps subconsciously he wants us to stay in.

Plus there is the salary, of course ? ( Is he still an MEP ?)
