Britten-Pears change of name petition

The reasons stated for the rebranding are:
- That 'a new organisation needs a new name';
Now Snape Maltings, CEO Mr RW Wright, is merging with the Britten-Pears Foundation to form a 'new organisation', CEO to be Mr RW Wright, but they can't retain one of the old names because they must have a new one.
Who are they marketing it to that doesn't know who Britten and Pears were? Something very odd here.It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

This new change seems daft to me and given the folks who have been talking about this is unlikely to go ahead as imagined.

but this is a much bigger change IMV as it appears to erase Pears
