There's a signed letter for sale on eBay dated 12th Feb 1930 to the Norwegian composer Schjelderup apologising for being unable to perform his opera Sturmvögel. He had apparently been usurped by a talented Bavarian composer. Strauss perhaps?

I'm going by the vendor's translation, the photo isn't very clear
    Pacta sunt servanda !!!

This morning I noticed in the clutter on the 'desktop' of my Mac a portrait of a distinguished looking chap; the label said Phillip Anton II. What? Why? A bit of searcning and I found it was Johann Philipp Anton von und zu Frankenstein (1695 - 1753). No idea how he comes to be there. It's interesting what you learn....
