    Italian Singers

Hi Can anyone tell me how to get hold of the CD(s) of the baroque Italian singers, one of which was played yesterday morning on r3? I didn't have anything at hand to write notes down and now have forgotten the details I tried to memorise. thanks

    Hello super (welcome)!

This is the Sunday Morning playlist. Can you pick out the CD from here?

    Il Pomo d’Oro, perhaps?

Thanks for that but I don't think that it's amongst the listed music there. A single track of a vocal piece was played and all i recall was that the presenter said that it was off one disc of 3. Frustrtating as I was hoping to get a copy for my wife's birthday (on thursday!)

Oh, dear. Drawn a blank there. Nothing on yesterday's Breakfast playlist either. Was it the Sarah Walker 9-12 programme?

Unless it was Saturday on Record Review ? In which case it may have been Accordone with the wonderful Marco Beasley ?

I now see that you refer to the presenter mentioning that the disc was one of three ? In which case it is definitely Accordone / Marco Beasley, Saturday on Record Review. See the program listing.

Listen again using the iPlayer, note the exact times, and post it here. Maybe, then, someone here will be able to help you.......

Barbara Strozzi towards the end of Sarah Walker's playlist?

              Or Franceco Cavalli on Breakfast?

              BW and welcome, kb

                Sounds like this CD:

Apologies to underthecountertenor, who will be groaning as another thread descends into puns.
