    I loved the Bruckner 9 - in many ways it was the recording through which I first really " got' Bruckner - had it on cassette .

      I can recommend the Beethoven cycle on Telarc, the Bruckner 5 (my favourite recording in general), Brahms 2 & 4 with the Philharmonia, and the Webern/Mozart cycle on Decca. Also the Brahms/Schoenberg Quartet if you're into that. I've never heard a bad recording from him but some are unexceptional.

        I just recalled his excellent ​Charles Ives recordings - Symphony 4, Orchestral Sets 1 (Three Places in New England) & 2. Latterly on a highly recommendable Double Decca with Mehta and Marriner in the other major orchestrals...
