Ever since Sean Rafferty played the 12 cellists of the BPO version of South American Getaway (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid) it has been going round and round in my ear. Foolishly i made the subsequent mistake of listening to the soundtrack version and it has now replaced the 12 cellists. Is there no end to this hell.......
BTW the soundtrack version is sung (scatted really) with amazing skill and great precision in the harmony.

It is! I have CD1 from this collection in the car CD changer at the moment - http://www.amazon.co.uk/This-Is-Easy.../dp/B0001EMZYO It's great listening for driving - and the South American Getaway is one of the best tracks

Very Radio 3 . I remember (no I don't - I looked it up on Wikipedia or somewhere) that Sean Dubbayew Kea-ve-ney (spot the reference) played earworms on his Breakfast Show at one time and SMP (a 6Music listener, off-duty?) briefly took up on the idea on Brekkers.

Sometimes I say good things about 6 Music. How shall I put this gently? I would be absolutely horrified to think that anyone curious would be tuning in to it at breakfast time. I have never been able to stomach more than five minutes of it. It just isn't right at all.

I think Sean can be quite amusing, Lat, and it's a compromise with my lovely daughter! I mean it's only 10 mins to drown out the sounds coming from the loo.
