        I'm not so sure. An organ as varied as an orchestra? If we could spend hours together, BBM, I promise you I'd not want to talk about organs.

            An organ is surprisingly unvaried in sound, considering its complex and extravagant construction. Whatever different stops are used, it always sounds like ... an organ.

              Ligeti didn't do too badly in his Volumina though! The piece that sounds as if the instructions to the organist are to lie on top of all the manuals with every stop pulled out!
