My very best wishes to Stanfordian. So sorry to hear that you are ill and I hope your treatment is helpful. I don't have the coping mechanisms for speaking about this illness, let alone anticipating it or dealing with it. There is definitely the feeling now that we live in an unsheltered world - and that frightens me. I was also sorry to hear about the loss of Dmitri. The absence of words reveals a lack of knowledge on my part. When I looked at his discography, it was "Where are You, My Brothers?", the 2003 CD of Russian-language songs from World War II that stood out. I am keen that we remember that we would not have won the war without the Russians, whatever we think about the Soviets subsequently or indeed Russia now.
