I only caught the closing minutes while driving home from work. What I heard sounded decidedly subjective. No more really than Tom's personal impressions, rather than anything more evidence based. I will try again via the iPlayer but would welcome others' vies on this programme.

Typical Service breathless waffle.
Sunday late afternoon is a real disaster area on R3: Choir and Organ with SMP telling us about her, playing 'tracks', or telling us the name of the programme, or about the website, or what's on so-and so programme in a few days, or on HER prog next week and repeating the formula over and over like Siri for what feels like every five minutes.
And then THAT followed is by Service. Crikey.

What I heard sounded decidedly subjective.Yes, it was a personal view of the piece but I really enjoyed it. Someone talking about something they are really engaged withTypical Service breathless waffle.I thought it interesting and informative and I quite like passionate advocacy of this kind.It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

It is always good to hear people who are passionate about their subject
which is why Tony P always comes accross so well
I know someone who presented at this one https://boringconference.com which was anything but
