The Markevitch also in the Icon box - is the Schumann with Giulini a studio recording ?

The Fischer/Klemperer can be had very cheaply £1.41 on Amazon on a secondhand copy of an EMI Armchair concert CD and you get Klemperer in the Mendelssohn Italian Symphony too

The Giulini version is a live recording from the Lucerne Festival in 1959.

That Armchair Concerts series was much denied at the time, wasn't it? I can remember a Classics review entitled, 'Oh, no! Not The Comfy Chair!' :) The disc is annoying, as I have the other stuff on it. I opted out of the Klemperer Concertos box because it involved too much duplication (I already have the Barenboim Beethoven concertos, the Oistrakh Brahms VC and the Menuhin Beethoven PC) - but collecting the rest - Mozart Horn Concertos and PC 25, Schumann Concerto is probably going to be more expensive than buying the box! :)
