....I'm listening to my mind in free fall (sans velocity) thinking how I'd like to ring the neck of the bloke who runs the repairs garage that I use....a staccato self confident little sound - whinging but in a low register - quite violent attention seeking sort of ah ah ah ah ah ah.....bong ching

Messiaen: Trois petites liturgies de la Présence divine/O sacrum convivium!/Cinq rechants
Duruflé: Requiem (and other pieces on the CD, 'Remembrance')
Danish National Vocal Ensemble/Danish National Concert Choir/Danish National Chamber Orchestra/Marianna Shirinyan (piano)/Thomas Bloch (ondes Martenot)/Marcus Creed (Messiaen)
Jennifer Johnston (mezzo)/Neal Davies (bass)/Matthew Jorysz (organ)/Choir of Clare College, Cambridge/Graham Ross (Duruflé)
Two of the current Amazon France bargain CDs offer (4 for €18), which has been a bit like being let loose in a sweetshop, as there is/was so much on offer which I might not have bought at full price but at €4.50 a pop was very tempting. The Messiaen is beautifully recorded and, particularly in the case of the Cinq Rechants, stunningly well sung - eat your heart out, BBC Singers. The best performance of them I've ever heard.
The Graham Ross/Clare College Choir CD is a delight - even "Abide with Me" (admittedly as arranged by Graham Ross) proves to be quite moving.
