Grieg Piano Concerto - 1961 Last Night of the Proms - Gina Bachauer /BBCSO/Cameron.
Rather lovely not bad sound and GB rather more indulgent in the slow movement than in her studio recording with George Weldon .
Evidently, not a new thing - loud applause after first movement with sotto voce tutting.Last edited by Barbirollians; 09-01-22, 23:33.

A bit of an epiphany for me. I never really worshipped the great man but these recordings make me realise what makes him so special."The sound is the handwriting of the conductor" - Bernard Haitink

Originally posted by Petrushka View PostThe box itself is awkward to get into and there is no index of works in the accompanying booklet, proving once again that the marketing/production side has let down the fantastic work of the musicians, engineers and remastering team, but don't let this put you off, there is real treasure in the box and you won't be disappointed.Last edited by cloughie; 10-01-22, 23:15.
