Martinů: Julietta (E.N.O., Mackerras) from Radio 3 FM broadcast, 14th April 1978. A delight to listen to again, occasional FM 'crackles' notwithstanding.

Dino Ciani playing Debussy Preludes and the Schumann Novelettes. Very fine GG original recording with a piano sound that has complexity and weight.

                    Chopin, Nocturnes, Claudio Arrau

Absolutely one of my favorite, Desert Island discs, each work a small tone poem bathed in melody. There are many fine alternatives—the newish Pollini in particular—but Arrau combines poetry, beauty of tone, and an unerring sense of drama

Yes, I love Arrau and Pollini in these, though Rubinstein is magnificent in Op 48 No 1 in C minor

Angelic playing Brahms op.116-119. I like almost as much as Glen Gould's recordings of these pieces.
