    Great apes and music

Amused by a headline on R4 news today; also reported here...........

Researchers from the University of York gave chimpanzees at Edinburgh Zoo a 'jukebox' and found they were less likely to walk away from Mozart than Justin Bieber or Adele.

Show good taste - wonder if they tried Monkees or Gorrilaz, Kinks Ape Man or S&G's At the Zoo?

I tend to find a heavy beat aggressive, and am often inclined to move away from it.

Maybe I am in touch with my inner chimp?

I don't know about apes, but this parrot really gets down to Freddie Mercury:

Snowball (TM) gets down to Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust." Please visit our web site http://www.birdloversonly.org to purchase Snowball DVDs, shirts, ...

I suspect that what may turn at least some of them off is music in which one composer apes another.

Add Arnell's Symphony No 5 if it is to stand any chance of being above a 2:2.

The Monkees tried doing that, didn't they!
